We offer home visits in the Perth and Peel regions only at this stage. As our business grows, we will be expanding our home visit locations.

If you live outside of the Perth and Peel region, please contact us to see if we can arrange support remotely for you using our easy remote access support service and Zoom online meetings.

When booking a service, our location restriction settings are based on your postcode. You won’t be able to pay for a booking if you live outside of our service areas.

Of course, we will be happy to help you set up a MyGov and a MyGovID account. This will enable you to download your COVID -19 Vaccination Certificate and have access to Government services online.

We can set up both your mobile phone and on your computer / laptop. The process can be confusing for many people – not just seniors. Let us take the hassle out of the set up process.

Seniors Tech Services can assist you to purchase a new (or refurbished) mobile phone, computer or any other device. We can even shop for you and deliver it to your home and ensure it is set up properly, including any data backup, transfer and software installation.

We can assist you with recommendations for new devices and software that will suit your needs. Don’t be talked into expensive upgrades by the salespeople. We are independent and our recommendations are based on technology devices and software that will meet your requirements, those that have a good quality reputation and provide value-for-money.

You may have a family member or a friend who you regularly call upon to help you with technology issues. This may be suitable for very simple queries but may not be the best approach for a number of reasons:

Keeping up with technology is a full-time job. Seniors Tech Support keeps current on all technology issues and continually researches topics and stays informed about all aspects from software, hardware, viruses, scams and consumer technology. We focus only on helping Seniors and what is important for you.

You wouldn’t trust your new car to a backyard mechanic – you would ensure the dealership was regularly looking after it, keeping it well maintained, running smoothly and fixing anything when required because it is important for you as you rely on having a car that works well whenever you need it. It is the same with technology these days – it is an increasing part of our daily lives, from internet banking to email, Netflix and mobile phones.

Families, friends and life in general seems busier than ever before. Obtaining help at those critical times when you need it most may be difficult if you rely on family or friends.

Seniors Tech Support is dedicated to helping you with all you technology needs. We operate from 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and can be contacted easily by phone, text message or email. Less urgent appointments can be booked online when it is convenient for you to do so with a choice of dates and times to suit you.

Seniors Tech Support has business insurance that covers the advice that we provide to ensure you are covered in case anything goes wrong. Your family and friends are not in the business of technology support and will not have any such insurance.

So, in case anything goes wrong and you end up damaging your equipment, losing your data or exposing your information to hackers, there will be no coverage. At best you will be out-of-pocket, at worst your identity, personal information and data may be compromised, leading to potentially greater problems.

 

All home-based consumer technologies are supported, not just computers. This includes devices and software too. Some examples are:

  • New device setup (incl. data backup and restore)

  • Email setup and support
  • Software updates and Operating System updates
  • Virus and security checking and removal

  • Windows, Apple and Android devices and software are all supported

Yes. Regular deep scanning for viruses and the quarantining and safe removal of malicious software is included for FREE as part of the STS Annual Membership package. We also regularly and safely update your software such as Windows Updates and other software.

We also offer a Virus Scan and Update Package as a stand-alone annual subscription if that is all that you need. This gives you four deep scans and remediations per year and also includes software and operating system updates at the same time. Generally, we like to perform the first scan with a home visit and thereafter perform the remaining scans remotely.

However, we would recommend a full Annual Membership Subscription which would give you the best value-for-money support.

Although we would prefer you take up the subscription offer, we do take bookings for single (on-demand) Non-Member Home Visits and Device Setup services. Non-Members do not receive ongoing support.

An annual subscription represents significant value for money over buying individual (on-demand) services.

We do not usually repair consumer technology hardware unless it is an easy fix. We have found that replacing a broken device with a new or refurbished one is much more economical than sending it out for repair services.
